The Sr. Information Technology Director will serve as a strategic partner and operational leader, responsible for aligning the company’s technology strategy with business objectives. As a key member of the leadership team, this role influences company strategy and ensures that technology investments deliverable measure business outcomes.
This role is critical to driving digital transformation, optimizing enterprise platforms such as D365, Salesforce and PowerBI, and ensuring high performance, scalability and security across all technology domains. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership acumen, business insight and disciplined execution.
Essential Functions
- Adheres to purchasing and inventory control policies, processes and procedures
- Purchases to maintain best supplier terms, pricing and delivery as directed
- Maintains supplier relationships
- Communicates daily with suppliers
- Expedites when needed and verify order acceptance
- Keeps supplier, part, cost, purchase order records up to date
- Resolves supplier discrepancies with quantity, cost, quality
- Remedies defective or unacceptable goods or services on a timely basis
- Keeps Senior Buyer in the loop of issues that will affect cost, quality, and delivery
- Assists with database maintenance
- Coordinates the purchase and delivery of goods made by Nystrom partners
- Follows up on shipments due from Nystrom partners
- Reports on Nystrom partners order status
- Assists with ordering indirect materials via Kanban
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- One or more years of Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbally and written
- Critical thinker with the ability to multitask effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Enthusiastically embraces and promotes continuous improvement
- Detail orientated with emphasis on follow up in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel
