Production Supervisor
Provides work direction on a daily basis and monitors daily work performance. Anticipates production and personnel problems and resolves problems to achieve the production schedule. Leads by example to maintain good housekeeping and enforcing safe work practices. Work with team members to maximize efficiency using Lean Principles.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to meet regional sales targets.
- Manage, coach, and mentor independent representative firms.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and contractors in the region.
- Stay well-versed in Babcock-Davis products and services and effectively communicate their value to customers.
- Partner with sales leadership on proposal development.
- Clearly articulate the company’s value proposition and hassle-free commitment to both new and existing customers.
- Provide application and product expertise to customers and the sales organization.
- Recommend marketing initiatives and product strategies tailored to specific regions or demographics.
- Collaborate closely with the inside sales team on strategies and plans to achieve sales goals.
Job Qualifications:
- Manage daily production schedule through the value stream(s) assigned
- Keep work synchronized in order to maintain constant flow
- Manage employee work assignments and provide ongoing oversight to ensure productivity and focus
- Communicate daily with team members to share company information including production schedules, company metrics, and safety
- Ensure compliance to standard work for key manufacturing processes
- Identify training needs. Monitor and reinforce training with team members
- Ensure safety rules are being followed
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are being followed and completed
- Participate in the hiring process of the department
- Monitor employee performance and disciplines where necessary
- Completes reviews for direct reports with assistance from Production Manager
- Initiate and participate in disciplinary issues
- Manage employees’ time and record daily payroll (PTO requests, attendance issues)
- Promote company culture
- Monitor and enforce inventory control programs
- Other duties as assigned
Opportunity:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven working experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment required
- Possesses strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of and experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles
- Leads by example (good attendance, positive attitude, high quality, high performance)
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and workloads
- Is non-discriminatory and can work with a diverse workforce
