As the first level Production Supervisor, you provide daily direction and monitor team performance. You are an integral part of our hardworking, experienced production team, leading through training, organizing, staffing and coordination. You thrive on anticipating and resolving challenges to achieve production schedule goals, communicate daily with the team and monitor production output to maximize productivity. You encourage organized workstations and enforce safety practices. Finally, you enjoy working with a team to reach company goals.

Essential Functions

  • Lead through training, organizing, staffing and coordination
  • Daily team communication sharing company information and daily production schedules
  • Monitor output and maximize productivity
  • Monitor and enforce inventory control programs
  • Understand plant scheduling (capacity planning, Theory of Constraints)
  • Establish preventive maintenance program and troubleshoot machine issues
  • Participate in department hiring process
  • Monitor daily team performance and complete individual reviews
  • Manage personnel challenges
  • Administrate personnel attendance and record daily payroll
  • Identify, monitor and reinforce training
  • Enforce safety rules
  • Company goal expertise
  • Gain an understanding of product portfolios and internal processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree or 5+ years experience in metal fabrication
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Lean Manufacturing Principles implementation experience
  • Leads by example (attendance, attitude, quality, performance)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Proactively improve processes
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Macola)
