Disney Lakeshore Lodge is a nature-forward Disney resort that blends rustic lodge styling with modern elements. The lodge features 900 rooms, making it one of the largest deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World.

The Disney Lakeshore Lodge project required a seamless, access door solution that matched the resort’s architectural aesthetic while meeting strict functional and installation requirements. The project team needed a product that delivered reliability and technical performance but Nystrom was not initially specified. Additionally, the general contractor, drywall team and mechanical contractor all needed assurance that the chosen access door would install cleanly and perform consistently in a high‑profile hospitality environment.

Nystrom became the preferred choice once conversations opened with key partners who had first‑hand experience with the company’s performance. Mechanical contractor Kar & Larrabee trust Nystrom solutions based on their working relationship, and the project architect had previously used the same Nystrom door, giving them confidence to advocate for approval. Nystrom strengthened the case by visiting the jobsite with a physical product sample, walking stakeholders through the door’s appearance, installation process and performance advantages. The result: Nystrom was selected for the project, ensuring a superior access door solution for Disney while opening the door to future partnership opportunities.
