Responsible for coordinating the takeoff s that the estimating team produces on a daily/weekly basis, ensuring that they are consistently done in a timely fashion. When needed, responsible for providing updates to internal sales channels.

  • Track estimators activity levels and provide weekly reports to Director of Internal Sales
  • Communicate with internal estimating team on a daily basis
  • Training internal estimators on all products
  • Implementing best practice standards for the estimating team, ensuring that deliverables to our sales staff and third parties is consistent across all territories
  • Performs take offs on a daily basis
  • Create/coordinate training for estimating take off service (Dodge)
  • Participates in rhythm calls with external sales when needed
  • Ensures quality of takeoffs
  • Works with Director of Internal Sales to establish team metrics

Job Qualifications

  • College or technical degree
  • 5+ years estimating or construction preferred
  • Requires strong and detailed organizational skills to provide accurate take-offs used in the quotation process
  • Strong verbal coaching and communication skills
  • Involves extreme accuracy in a manner to ensure that product(s) is quoted properly and to ensure good customer relations
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of products or services
  • Knowledge of construction standards a plus
  • Above average computer skills and reporting background
  • Ability to confidently navigate through plans and interprets specifications
