Position Overview

As a Machine/Turret Specialist, you are an integral part of our highly motivated and experienced production team. You are excited about learning to set up and operate the Salvagnini S4.30 and P4 32616 punching, shearing and panel blending line per program and system requirements. You enjoy working directly from an ERP schedule, developing daily work programs for CNC systems and providing manufacturing/tooling design solution input. You thrive on assisting with product design, testing and analysis of work. You appreciate working with a team to maximize productivity to reach company goals and. Essential Functions

  • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
  • Pulls up correct program and loads material into machine
  • Select positions and fastens punches and dies in machine
  • Provides feedback to programming and works together to resolve issues as well as troubleshooting any machine problems
  • Programs and loads new jobs when forming is needed
  • Understands and comprehends programming codes
  • Loads clearance dies per requirements and observes machine operation to detect product defects and/or machine malfunction
  • Checks machine prior to ensure readiness
  • Performs daily routine preventative maintenance tasks as prescribed
  • Create and maintain a “Standard” nesting library for common parts
  • Interface with Production Scheduling to be aware of production needs
  • Actively seeks out improvement opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs in manufacturing, engineering, and sales
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Performs frequent quality checks
  • Work within all safety guidelines
  • Cross-train on various machines and platforms
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Absolutely necessary to have strong computer skills
  • Strong technical capabilities
  • Familiar with lean manufacturing, process improvement, and post process work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective process discipline. Ensures process are performed as defined daily
  • Has a positive attitude (consistent, honest, level-headed, professional)
  • 3-5 years metal fabrication experience. Preferably in turret punch press and/or press brake operations
  • Able to travel. Training will be near Cincinnati, OH for up to 5 days at a time
  • Possesses a continuous improvement mind set
  • Detail oriented
